At the end of June this year I will be attending a murder mystery hen party on an old steam train. Theme = masquerade. Now, I know it’s a fair way off, but I’ve been thinking long and hard about what kind of costume I would like to wear as “masquerade” is pretty open. So after much deliberation, I’ve decided to go with steampunk. Okay, so maybe not the most logical in terms of costume choice, but you know what, steampunk fashion is awesome, and I’m going to make it work!

And look what I just bought! Man can I not wait until it arrives! This is practically THE perfect corset and was handmade by wife-husband duo over at Damsel in this Dress where everything they make is just stunning! Oh if I had more money… and more fancy dress parties to attend! 

Now on to find a cool mask to match my badass corset!
