Every now and then XKCD creates an awesome information graphic on a timely topic. With all the news about James Cameron visiting the deepest point in the ocean, yesterday’s graphic takes a look at the various depths of well known oceanographic features. 

Choc-full of useful little factoids, such as the depth that bike tyres go flat and how deep sperm whales dive, this handy chart deserves a place on any oceanographer’s wall.
