Inspiration of the Day: Scrabble for Designers by Andrew Clifford
This beautifully designed edition of Scrabble by Andrew Clifford aims at ‘exciting people about typography by giving them the ability to choose what font their Scrabble set should be in’. Unfortunately this edition is just for a project, but I imagine it would be extremely successful should it ever be put into production. Lovely!

Inspiration of the Day: The Four Icon Challenge
It’s quite early in the day still, but I’ve now found my ‘inspiration of the day’ too! So much going on, on the Interwebs today.
This project by Kyle Tezak which he summarises as…
Trying to capture the essence of an object or idea with only a few lines and at the same time maintaining its elegance is pretty much design in a nutshell. That’s what so great about icons, they’re tiny poems. I decided it would be a fun project to attempt to sum up some of my favorite books, movies, historical events, anything, with just four icons; the meat and potatoes. This is an ongoing project so I plan to keep adding to the collection and testing ideas out on Dribbble so tell me what you think. It might make a cool poster at some point.
… is a great demonstration of minimalism and simplicity. Love it! I can’t wait until he adds more!

Inspiration of the Day: Need to Want Less
I stumbled across these little nuggets of graphical philosophy by Recovering Lazyholic a whilst back and I suddenly remembered about them and had to post.
The disconnect between our wants and needs is one of the most fundamental and universal paradoxes of being human. Virtually everyone comes in contact with it in various levels of intensity. That piece of rich flourless chocolate cake after a perfectly healthy and nourishing meal. The lover you so desire even though you don’t need all the drama. And does anyone really need an iPad? Inspiration of the Day: Paper Art by Cheong ah Hwang
Cheong’s paper art is something to admire. Her beautiful birds and story book characters are beautifully created. You need to check out her work. They are all simply stunning! I have no idea how she does it!
