Who knew there were so many? And just in time for Halloween!
This brilliant poster by Ashwin Patel blends simple iconography and humour just perfectly to illustrate the tools and qualities one must have to be a successful graphic designer. He describes the graphic as “a self-initiated project based on the stereotypical ‘must haves’ of the graphic designer from mind set and values to tools and appliances.”
Some of you may wonder why I’ve included this in my ‘Infographic of the Day’ post, and it may be borderline, but I felt that the the clever connections and linkages between each element puts this graphic into the infographic category similar to how I would class The Splendiferous Array of Culinary Tools by Pop Chart Lab as an infographic. This is an original, beautifully designed and very, very clever example of the genre. Wants!

Right now there’s an awesome campaign on Facebook to try and get Firefly (that was cancelled by Fox halfway through its first season, much to the disappointment of its many loyal fans) back on the air. Last week Nathan Fillion announced that if he won $300m in the lottery he would buy the rights to Firefly and redistribute it on the Internet, and now there’s a massive campaign to raise this money.
There have been a few posters uploaded to Facebook to support this campaign, and here is my little contribution. Hope you like!
